Erwin Nursery School hosts annual silent auction tomorrow, April 28th

ERWIN NURSERY SCHOOL HOLDS 15th ANNUAL BOUNTIFUL BASKETS SILENT AUCTION, April 28, 2013 Erwin Nursery School (ENS), a cornerstone of the Westcott/Syracuse University Neighborhood for over half a century, is holding its fifteenth annual “Bountiful Baskets” silent auction, Sunday, April 28th, from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Friendship Hall of the Erwin First United Methodist Church (920 Euclid Ave., corner of Euclid and Westcott). Admission is free, and the public is invited. Cash and checks are accepted; all proceeds are tax-deductible. For more information, call ENS Director Nancy Pulver at (315) 472-5580. “This Bountiful Baskets is our fifteenth year of bringing the community together, while supporting our children on their educational journey,” says Pulver. “We are also celebrating our 54th year of providing a safe, secure, loving environment where children can learn and grow.” About eighty people and organizations, including restaurants, movie theaters, visual and performing arts ensembles, booksellers, and tool and furniture stores, are expected to donate goods and services. Last year’s event raised $3,000 for our playground renovation. This year the proceeds will help our Universal Prekindergarten Program. We are also holding a Spring Concert with the children during this event. ENS is one the area’s longest running preschools, educating generations of preschool aged children from Syracuse and surrounding areas for over 50 years. The school’s programs are supported by tuition, private donations, and by a contract with the Syracuse City School District for its Universal Prekindergarten Program. This contract provides funding, allowing children who are Syracuse City residents and are four-years-old by December 1st to attend for free.
