Attached is an information sheet about two additional summer opportunities for Nottingham students, and previously posted information is listed again below: Nottingham Early College High School Summer Science Institute – for Nottingham students currently in grades 9-11 July 8-12 and July 15-19; Monday-Friday 9:15-12:15 Held at SU; transportation will be provided to eligible students To register or for additional information: contact Nottingham vice-principal Donna Formica at 435-4380 or dformica [at] scsd [dot] us Nottingham Early College High School Summer Math Institute – for all incoming 9th graders (current 8th graders) July 29-August 9; Monday-Friday 9 am to noon Held at Nottingham; bus passes provided to eligible students Review key math concepts and learn new material using real-life examples; math games; geo caching. To register or for additional information: contact Nottingham vice-principal Donna Formica at 435-4380 or dformica [at] scsd [dot] us Nottingham Early College High School 4th Annual Summer Writing Institute – for all incoming Nottingham 9th graders (current 8th graders) July 8-July 26 Monday-Friday 8-noon Three weeks of interesting writing activities that will prepare you for high school writing assignments; directed by SU faculty Free; bus passes will be provided to eligible students To register or for additional information: contact Nottingham vice-principal Donna Formica at 435-4380 or dformica [at] scsd [dot] us SUNY ESF/SCSD Summer Science Camp July 22-July 26 9-3 pm Each day begins at Nottingham, with some field trips; lunch is provided This camp will enrich student development in science, exploring nature in and around Nottingham, visiting Onondaga Lake, and learning via hands-on activities at SUNY-ESF. Enrollment space is limited to 50 students; if you are interested, contact vice-principal Lyn DeTore at 435-4380 for a registration form. Application deadline is June 7.
